| Thou Art Worthy. . "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou
hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Revelation 4:11

The Father created us for His pleasure. He formed us
in His likeness that we might be able to communicate with Him. He wanted us to know Him,
to walk with Him and to draw our life from His smile. That was the intention of God when
he created man. When Adam sinned, the harmony that existed between God and man was ripped
apart. Man, in the years that followed that first sin, has continued down the path of
separation from God. He has chosen to neither love, obey or walk with his Creator. With
that separation comes a restlessness, for there is a hole in mans heart. He seeks to
fill that hole with everything under the sun, except that which would fill the void. St.
Augustine puts it this way, "Thou hast formed us for Thyself, and our hearts are
restless till they find rest in Thee." When we seek the God of the Universe and dwell
in His presence, that hole in our heart is filled, and we know with all our being that He
is worthy to receive glory and honor and power. We find the rest that we have been seeking
all our lives. This is the union for which we were created that we might live in His
presence and draw from Him our very breath. Let us this day dwell in His presence, resting
in His everlasting arms, knowing that in doing so we are fulfilling the role for which we
were created.
I love You, Father, and I am grateful for Your love. It is amazing to
me that the Creator of the Universe would care about me, yet Your word
tells me that You created me for Your pleasure. I do not understand it,
but I am grateful for it. May I bring You pleasure; show me how to do
that, Lord. Teach me how to live that I might bring glory and honor to
Your name. Amen
