"When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your love, O LORD, supported me." Psalm 94:18

 As we cross over the mountains in life, our footing does not always seem steady. Sometimes we climb confidently, and other times the fear of falling immobilizes us, as our footing slips and we hear the rocks being tossed into the abyss below. It may be sin in our lives or lack of faith in Him that causes us to slip. Whatever the reason, it is then that we cry out to the LORD, "My foot is slipping!" Then He reminds us that His love is supporting us and holding us firm. Our fears dissipate as we feel His love surrounding us, for we know that He will never let us go. We are safe in our Father’s arms. Our confession of the sins in our lives, even the sin of lack of faith, will bring His merciful forgiveness and with it His unconditional love for us. We are safe to continue the climb, knowing His love for us will always be there to support us in whatever life brings us. With confidence in His love that supports us, we can climb on, knowing that any obstacle that arises can be overcome, not in our own strength, but by the grace of God. Let us go forth with boldness, as did the Psalmist, and climb on, knowing that God’s love and grace will always be there to support us and that He will never let us go!

Father, thank You for Your unconditional love. Thank You for a love that will keep us from falling; a love that can reach us wherever we are; a love that will never let us go. Support us with Your love, O Lord, for without it, we would surely fall. Cleanse our hearts from all sin and cause us to walk aright. Amen
