"I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:21,22

Many of us have mountains in our lives. Circumstances that block our view of the heavenlies, heartaches that keep ourselves and others from victory in Jesus. Is there a mountain in your life? Do you find this mountain a barrier for you in your Christian walk? Ask God to remove it and know that He will do it. Prayer is a powerful tool, one we do not take seriously enough. There is great power in prayer. When we pray for the removal of the mountains that block us from the Lord, He will answer our prayers if we take them seriously. The key to powerful prayer is believing, but persistence is also necessary. Never stop asking, never stop thanking Him for the work He is doing, though we may not be able to see it. We need to remember that the Lord’s time frame may not be ours. We may not see the shaking going on inside the mountain. We may not feel the little tremors necessary to remove the mountain, but the Lord is at work, and in His due time the mountain will be removed. Keep trusting Him, keep believing that He wants what is best for you. One way or another the mountain will disappear, so keep on praying. It may be months, it may be years, it may even be decades, but the Lord is faithful and the mountain will go. Just keep on praying and He who is faithful will answer.

Father, how thankful we are that you have taught us to trust you! How thankful we are to know that you are at work in our lives! How thankful we are to know that you are removing the mountains in our lives when we ask! Give us the faith to continue to believe, and grant us the patience to wait with faith until you accomplish the task. Amen
